The IPO market continues to move along albeit in a slightly lower gear. This week we start with seven companies in active marketing and hoping to price before the holiday weekend. After Memorial Day we will be in the often tepid Summer IPO market but the period from June to mid-August can be productive, especially if Q2 reports are stronger than what we had in Q1. As an aside this is a mid-term election year which probably adds to the risk that we see an IPO slowdown this Summer. As usual with markets nothing is certain.

Here are the deals pending for this week with brief descriptions. The most watched is definitely JD.com (JD) which owns a slice of the much-ballyhooed Alibaba which has filed for their own big IPO, slated to enrich Yahoo (YHOO) in the process as well.
